In 2018 our Legislative Committee and concerned members along with AA Homecare and VGM spent 100's of volunteered hours and 1000's of dollars lobbying our State Legislatures to get HB224 passed and enacted into law effective 7/1/2019.
We stopped all the Medicaid MCO's from reducing their fee schedules no more than 10% below the State Medicaid Fee Schedule. (Many of the MCO's were trying to get discounts 15% to 50% off).
Now, any code that is currently listed as MSRP less or cost plus 20% is reimbursed at MSRP less 18% as long as there is a suggested list price show by the Manufacturer. HUGE PROFIT INCREASE.
Let's say your company does $20,000.00 a month in total Medicaid business. This new law gives your company at least 2% more profit or $400.00 extra profit every month (probably a lot more)
KMESA's annual dues are only $400.00 a year.
